See the complete removal and installation of the oil pan on a 1999-2007 GM engine in order to replace the oil pan gasket. The process is the same for the 4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L across GM products including Silverado, Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Sierra, and Escalade. 

 ***NOTE***

This repair was done in conjunction with other major engine work. You can remove the oil pan without removing the front differential or transmission by loosening the motor mounts and jacking up the engine.
