The OEM mirrors on this 2nd Generation Dodge RAM pickup lost their adjustment from the switch in a couple of the directions. The old motors had gotten tired. I was happy with a set of Boost Auto mirrors I tried on another pickup, so I went with them again on this one. They have a clean factory look, and are available in both the original Dodge style, as well as an optional GM style mirror. I elected for the GM mirrors. They mirror glass is lager than factory, and I like the everyday driving visibility they offer when not towing.  

The install is relatively simple, as it's a factory plug-n-play swap. The exception being optional upgrades. It's a little more work with the add-ons, but I like the end result. My pickup got reverse floods, integrated turn signals, and switchback turn signal/running lights. It also elected for upper and lower defrost.

OEM vs BOOST AUTO

To me, Boost Auto makes the better towing mirror. The finished look and interface is factory while adding features not available with OEM mirrors. You can buy them plane-jane for a plug and play swap, or loaded with features;

• paint to match, chrome, black

• forward and rear facing floods

• upper & lower defrost

• standard or sequential turn signals

• switchback running lights (amber turn signals, white running lights)

• telescoping and manual fold

Adding the extra features does require routing a harness and tapping into a few factory wires, but Boost Auto provides detailed feature-specific and vehicle-specific video installation instructions. The process looks intimidating, but it isn't difficult, just time consuming. The second mirror went much faster than the first.
